The development of mankind is inextricably linked to the use of tools. Where stone, bone and wood tools were initially used, nowadays  tool steels in complex machines meet the high requirements of industrial production. They are alloyed differently with regard to the load-bearing capacity of specific applications and reach their demanding properties only with an elaborate heat treatment. Its requirements contain a variety of parameters like toughness, wear resistance, compressive strength and heat resistance.

In many cases,the weight of tool steel in a machine is rather small compared to the weight of the whole machine. However, the right tool selection is usually decisive for the economy of the whole machine or production line. We supply cold working-, hot working- and plastic moulding steel in round, flat and square bars in the usual high BGH quality.
